Prosecutor`s office arrests four in suspicion of document counterfeiting
Four people were arrested in suspicion of embezzling budgetary funds. The director of the Kavkas-Avtomagistrali JSC. Ex-PM Nogaideli Signs Cooperation Treaty with Russia’s Ruling Party
Georgian former PM Zurab Nogaideli’s Movement for Fair Georgia and Russia’s ruling party, United Russia, signed a cooperation agreement in Moscow on February 9. “This agreement envisages launch of partnership and consultations, exchange of information and experience between the two parties,” Boris Gryzlov, chairman of Russia’s ruling party and speaker of State Duma said after the signing ceremony.

Shevardnadze’s former advisor detained in USA
Temur Basilia, former economic adviser to President Eduard Shevardnadze, was detained in the USA on 4 February. He has lived in the USA for the last few years demanding political asylum. He appeared on TV in 2009, attending one of the events of the Strategic Research Centre of America, but did not express any desire to talk to Georgian journalists and threatened to set the police on them.
