Nabucco Gas Pipeline to Receive Credit of 4 million Euros
Nabucco gas pipeline will receive a credit of 4 million Euros, foreign media reports . The corresponding agreement was signed between the consortium, building the gas pipeline, and the group of organizations yesterday. The group includes the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, the European Investment Bank and the International Finance Corporation.

Georgia Became a “Euro – Prison”
In 2007, 107 prisoners died within 6 months, 41 of them died from cachexia, or exhaustion. The Ministry of Penitentiary and Probation did not know the exact number of people currently being kept in prisons. The press centre of the Ministry advised the GT reporters to check their official web-site for this information. However, there was data only for the year 2008. The flimsy excuse for such dated information was that: “the site is under construction right now”.

Economy Minister: Ryanair Interested in Georgia Entry
Irish low-cost airline Ryanair is “very much interested” in launching flights to Georgia starting from next summer, Vera Kobalia, the Georgian economy minister, said on August 30. Kobalia, who according to the Economy Ministry was in Ireland on August 26-28 meeting with Ryanair executives, said that Georgia should at first upgrade an airport in its second largest city of Kutaisi and to sign a common aviation agreement. Meeting these conditions would pave the way for Ryanair’s entry into Georgia, she said.
