Law on Carrying Arms and Private Security Services to be amended
Georgian lawmakers are discussing the draft amendments to the Law on Carrying Arms and Private Security Services. The project proposes new terms for the private security services. These companies will have to pay 50,000 GEL to get the license to operating in Georgia.
Another amendment to the aforementioned law is that an officer of the law enforcement structure will be deprived of the right to carry the arms after retiring even if the person intends to work in a private security office.
The representative of the Orion Security Service Merab Dekanoidze says the service costs will be increased only in case the 50,000 GEL tax for license is annual, otherwise, they will try to maintain current prices.
