Medvedev: Diplomatic relations to be resumed with Georgia
Diplomatic relations between Russia and Georgia will be resumed, it is just a question of time, Dmitry Medvedev said in the exclusive interview with the NTV Russian TV Station. The Russian president said the Russian and the Georgian peoples have very warm and historical relationships that should not yield to the Saakashvili regime. Dmitry Medvedev reiterated that the issue of Georgia, as well as Ukraine, remains the main difficulty in the normalization of the US-Russian relationship.

`We have no diplomatic relationships with Georgia and this is a result of the aggression of the Saakashvili regime. There are no inter-state relations, although very warm, historical relationships tie us with Georgia. We have endured much with this people, we have gone through `water, fire and brass pipes` together. We want these relations to continue. Regimes like that of Saakashvili come and go, but feelings and relations remain.

`There is another issue we are concerned about as well. It is pulling countries into different organizations and military blocs. Our stance regarding this issue is unchangeable and our and America`s positions do not coincide with each other`, Dmitry Medvedev said.

He appeared on TV in 2009, attending one of the events of the Strategic Research Centre of America, but did not express any desire to talk to Georgian journalists and threatened to set the police on them.

The Georgian version of the TV show 'The Moment of Truth' has provoked ample controversy by bringing participants’ personal secrets out into the open. But Imedi, which broadcasts the programme, is now accused of using it as a political tool against the son of ex-President Zviad Gamsakhurdia.

“The current Government is doing the opposite things to what Zurab Zhvania wanted. This is why I joined Patarkatsishvili’s team, as I thought he was the person who could reverse these incorrect policies. Patarkatsishvili could have brought profit for our country.

Discussions about orgasms and G-spots on the first Georgian television talk show about sex have effectively spluttered from broadcasting studios into the sphere of public debate. The Night with Shorena, a talk show about sex aired on Imedi TV, has offended Georgian religious groups and could potentially spill over into a full-blown lawsuit.
