Unity Bobfire has been kindled already in Gori. Organizator of the event is ‘August 7’ Movement. As they stated the Gori fortress was chosen because all the villages around and Tskhinvali would be seen from the place. Auction is dedicated to the anniversary of the August events of 2008. Thousands of students of various high schools of the country and populaton will take part in the action. As Shida Kartli deputy governor Giorgi Avaliani stated this bonfire is symbole of Unity. Georgia showed everyone that territorial integrity is a very important issue for the Georgian people. This action is message of Georgian people will not put up with Occupation and stand side by side. Bonefire was kindled in the following towns of Georgia at 12.00 As Symbole of the unity: Tbilisi, Kutaisi, Telavi, Batumi, Mtskheta, Ambrolauri, Zugdidi, Ozurgeti, Akhaltsikhe and Rustavi.
