Open Stock Company ‘Russian Railway’ will receive Abkhazian railway in about 2 bln. Rubles. Leader of Sokhumi puppet mode Sergey Baghapsh told paper ‘Vremia Novostey’ about it. He says that agreement about financing work on Abkhazian railway and about further exploration is already reached. Baghapsh stated that about 1, 5 or 2 bln. Rubles will be allotted. ‘The scheme is simple. ‘Russian Railway’ will help us to restore the line. The company taking away road metal, gravel materials and other cargo by help of railway will pay the credit to ‘Russian Railway’, Baghapsh stated and added that Sokhumi plans to pay this credit in 2-3 years. Baghapsh stated in interview that project of construction of railway line from Adler to Zugdidi passing Abkhazia has not been disrupted due to August war last year. Though, Sokhumi regime leader states that international codes, that are not owned by Abkhazia as it is not recognized by international commonwealth, are necessary for uninterrupted work of Abkhazian side on the railway. Baghapsh stated that Russian codes were necessary to start the work, correspondently; railway will be in Russian management.
