Sergey Baghapsh – Independence of Abkhazia to be Soon Recognized by Some CIS Member States
Leader of Sokhumi Puppet Mode Sergey Baghapsh alleges that independence of Abkhazia will be soon recognized by some CIS member states, Baghapsh told it to paper ‘Vremia Novostey’. He says that Abkhazia will soon be recognized by one more Latin American country. ‘I think that it will be not only country of Latin America, but several states of CIS. We hold negotiations with some of them, but I don’t want to name these countries yet, not to cause a stir around them’, - Baghapsh stated and added that issue of recognition of Abkhazian independence by Byelorussia will be decided soon. He spoke about ‘Sea Incidents’ and stated that Abkhazia doesn’t intend to fight war with Georgia, if ‘Georgia doesn’t act foolish’. Baghapsh stated in interview that ‘Georgia will never regain Abkhazia and this issue is finally closed for Abkhazians’.
