The Ministers of defence of the NATO member states are assembling in Bratislava for the first ministerial, which will be attended by Anders Fogh Rasmussen as the Secretary General of the alliance. Andres Fogh Rasmussen is set to deliver one of his key addresses after assuming his post at an international conference entitled `New Challenges - Better Capabilities`. One of the key issues discussed by the military experts will be NATO-Russia relations; it is also expected that the issue of Georgia will be also touched by the NATO defence ministers. The alliance member states will reiterate that the recognition of Georgia`s breakaway regions of Abkhazia and South Ossetia by Russia contradicted international law. U.S. Secretary Assistant of Defense for International Affairs, Alexander Vershbow will also deliver speech at the ministerial. Vershbow visited Georgia two days ago.
