MPs urge international society to intensify pressure on Russia
MPs urge international community to assist Georgian authorities in releasing the sixteen ethnic Georgians arrested by Russian occupants in the forests of the Gremiskhevi village, Dusheti region yesterday. In addition, Georgian officials call upon the international organizations intensify pressure on Russia in order to provide more security in Georgia`s breakaway regions and the surrounding areas.
The fate of the kidnapped Georgians will be decided today. Russian generals and the representatives of the puppet regime say they will inspect the area where the sixteen Georgians were arrested. If the occupants confirm that this is the territory beyond the `borders of South Ossetia`, the detainees will be released, if vice versa, they will be taken to Tskhinvali and brought to `justice`.
Russian occupants kidnapped sixteen ethnic Georgians from the village of Gremiskhevi, Dusheti region, which borders the occupied Akhalgori district of South Ossetia. They were the locals from the village, who went to the forest for firewood. One of the kidnapped managed to give a call to relatives and told them they were detained.
The representatives of the puppet regime have confirmed the detention of ethnic Georgians, whom they accuse of crossing the `borders of South Ossetia` and illegal wood-cutting,
