Occupants deploy forces and armoured vehicles to Gali district
Russian occupants have emerged in those villages of Gali district of the breakaway Abkhazia, which they left after the august 12 2008 ceasefire deal last year. Reportedly, the occupants are reinforcing checkpoints in the villages of Chuburkhinji, Saberio and Ghvashghverdi. Armoured vehicles, tanks and about five hundred soldiers of the occupant army were moving in these villages whole night. They stationed tanks around the Engury Power Plant. The occupants have told locals today that they are planning to occupy the villages around the Engury Plant. While the land forces were moving in the Gali district, Russian helicopters were controlling their security from air. Georgian authorities have condemned the re-occupation of the released territories and assess the fact as ye another provocation before the so-called presidential elections in the breakaway Abkhazia.
