Georgian national football team has a new coach. The minister of culture and sports, Nika Rurua and the president of the Georgian Football Federation, Zviad Sichinava presented the new coach to media today. In addition, Temur Ketsbaia signed a contract with the GFF, which says that he will train Georgian national team from January 10 2010 to December 31 2011. Ketsbaia said Georgian football had sufficient recourse to have success despite the difficulties they are facing today. `I will do my best to use this resource and bring success to the team,` Ketsbaia said. Temur Ketsbaia’s football career started in Dinamo in the Sukhumi city. Later he transferred to Tbilisi’s Dinamo and played there until 1992. Then the midfielder started his career abroad. He travelled over Europe and the most popular club in which he played was Newcastle United. Ketsbaia ended his career in the Cyprus Anorthosis Famagusta and later became a coach in this team. Cypriots got to the group round of the League of Champions under his supervision. And his last jobplace was Georgian Olimpiakos.
