Conservative Party demands release of Beselia`s family members
Conservative Party of Georgia calls upon the judge of the Batumi city court to be unbiased while discussing the case of Rati Milorava and Sergo Beselia, the son and the brother of an opposition leader, Eka Beselia. The hearings on the case begin tomorrow. Kukava says the detention of the members of the Movement for United Georgia as an act of political repression. `I call upon the judge, Jemal Kiknadze and the prosecutor, Simon Gogilashvili, to obey the law and not political orders. Otherwise, they will be brought to justice for making criminal decisions on the second day of Saakashvili`s resignation,` Kakha Kukava announced at the briefing today. Sergo Beselia and Rati Milorava were arrested on August 19 2009 in Kobuleti resort and charged with hooliganism and resisting to police. Milorava, who is a teenager has been bailed out, Beselia was sent to custody.
