Orthodox Christians mark the day of Saint Giorgi
Georgian Orthodox Christians are marking the day of Saint Giorgi on November 23. In all churches of Georgia the holy services were held since the morning today. Georgian Catholicos Patriarch, Ilia II carried out holy liturgy at the 40 Sebastians Church in Abanotubani district, which was recently recontrsucted.

`This is a holy place, where Abo Tbileli was torturned. With the mercy of God this temple has been reconstructed and we will bless it,` His Holiness announced during the Sunday Preachment at the Saint Trinity Cathedral yesterday.

Saint George is the Savior of Georgians. The traditional account of his life is considered to have originated in the 4th century. According to it, George was born to a Christian family during the late 3rd century. His father was from Cappadocia and served as an officer of the army. His mother was from Lydda, Palestine. She returned to her native city as a widow along with her young son, where she provided him with a respectable education.
Saint George was a commander of the Emperor Diocletian`s army but opposed to him due to oppression of the Christians. After various tortures, George was executed by decapitation in front of Nicomedia`s defensive wall on April 23, 303.

“The current Government is doing the opposite things to what Zurab Zhvania wanted. This is why I joined Patarkatsishvili’s team, as I thought he was the person who could reverse these incorrect policies. Patarkatsishvili could have brought profit for our country.

Discussions about orgasms and G-spots on the first Georgian television talk show about sex have effectively spluttered from broadcasting studios into the sphere of public debate. The Night with Shorena, a talk show about sex aired on Imedi TV, has offended Georgian religious groups and could potentially spill over into a full-blown lawsuit.
