U.S. police have arrested Temur Basilia, an advisor to Georgia`s ex-president Eduard Shevardnadze for economic issues. Basilia fled Georgia after the Rose Revolution and lived in the United States since then. The ex-official of Georgia`s government, who was sentenced to 9 years in prison by the Tbilisi city court for various charges, worked at one of the international organizations in U.S.
Basilia was wanted by Interpol since 2004.
