Incident Prevention Mechanism group assembled in Gali
The members of the Incident Prevention and the Response Mechanism Group are negotiating in the former UN office in Gali district, Abkhazia, Georgia. The key issue discussed at today`s meeting is the delivery of the corpse of Demur Gogokhia, an ethnic Georgian, was arrested four years ago by the occupant regime and killed with torture four days ago. Gogokhia died in the Drandi prison, Sokhumi. He was charged with fighting against Abkhazia in Abkhazia war.
Gogokhia, who was from the village of Achigvara, Gali district, has five children.
Reportedly, the family has already signed the documents about handing over the body of Demur Gogokhia to them. According to the document, the man will be buried without expertise.
The sides will also discuss criminal situation in the occupied region.
