US Congress Supported Draft O Georgia And Ukraine’s Joining NATO
US House of Representatives Committee on Foreign Affairs supported draft on Georgia and Ukraine’s joining the NATO.
The abovementioned committee has also approved allocation funds for these countries for preparation for membership of the Alliance within the frameworks of the project “Assistance in the security sphere”.
RIA Novosti informs that the abovementioned draft reflects USA’s support towards Albania, Croatia, Ukraine, Georgia and Macedonia and their joining the NATO.
“Georgia and Ukraine have stated their desire to join the Euro-Atlantic community, and in particular, are seeking to join the North Atlantic Treaty Organization. Georgia is working closely with the North Atlantic Treaty Organization,” it is pointed out in the document.
“Contingent upon their continued implementation of democratic, Defense, and economic reform, and their willingness and ability to meet the responsibilities of membership in the North Atlantic Treaty Organization, Congress calls for the timely admission of Albania, Croatia, Georgia, and Macedonia to the North Atlantic Treaty Organization to promote security and stability in Europe,” the document reads.
