Georgia's President Mikheil Saakashvili has stated that Georgia's 'joining [to the NATO] is not to annoy Russia... NATO is part of our identity. The anger will pass and the reality will stay.'
In the interview given to the Bloomberg Television (R) program 'For the Record' Saakashvili also spoke about settlement of the so called 'frozen conflicts', which have been existed at the territory of Georgia and the Russian-Georgian relationship.
Saakashvili stressed that 'the embargo is losing its sense of purpose. We want to have good cooperation. It's not only us, the rest of Europe wants the same.'
He also pointed out that said 'he is ready to meet President Vladimir Putin and discuss their issues in`a normal atmosphere.'
Speaking about 'frozen conflicts' Saakashvili said that 'it is not in Russia's interest also to have these frozen conflicts'.
